We are seeking a talented Food Service Supervisor to join the SSA Group at Audubon Zoo!

Reports to: Food Service Operations Manager(s)
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service by performing SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps to ensure memorable experiences.
- Ensure the location or zone is properly stocked, prepped, and staffed for daily operations, coordinating with direct reports.
- Oversee zone operations to meet standards for quick service, safety, quality, merchandising, and guest satisfaction.
- Assist in preparing daily prep and inventory lists, delegating tasks as needed.
- Support smooth operations by filling in where necessary.
- Assign duties to staff, coaching them on daily tasks and guest interactions.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest feedback.
- Maintain intermediate knowledge of food and beverage safety, including proper temperatures, FIFO rotation, sanitation, and storage.
- Keep storage and back dock areas organized within your zone.
- Conduct daily check-ins with outlets to communicate information from preshift meetings.
- Manage waste by maintaining proper prep levels and tracking waste logs.
- Ensure product consistency and quality according to standards set by the operations and culinary teams.
- Develop and communicate plans for staffing, prep, and daily tasks with direct reports.
- Implement proper merchandising as directed by the Operations team.
- Monitor and control production of zone-specific items like popcorn, cotton candy, and beverages.
- Oversee personnel duties, including training new employees, conducting performance reviews, and coaching performance.
- Manage employee breaks and rest periods.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Assist team members to complete tasks efficiently and timely.
- Supervise in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding.

- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift 10-35 lbs, and perform related tasks.
- Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Previous Experience
- 1-2 years of quick service management or supervisory experience preferred.
- All educational backgrounds are eligible.
