Youth Services - Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility in Highland Hills, OH, seeks a full-time Food Service Supervisor to oversee all kitchen operations and staff on one shift. Qualifications

• Completion of 1 yr. trg. program in food service management; 12 mos. exp. in food service preparation; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in employee training & development.
• Or Completion of 2 yr. trg. program in food service preparation or hospitality management technology or 2 yrs. exp. in food service preparation; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in employee training & development.
• Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all food preparation & service personnel assigned to one shift.
• Prepares related records & reports (cycle menus, costs, monthly report, work schedules, production schedule, orders).
• Maintains safety & sanitary conditions (monitors storage temperatures; inspects for hazards; secures storage areas).
• Works with the Food Service Manager and cooks to assist in kitchen operations and training.
• Serves as the manager in the absence of the Food Service Manager 2.

Job Description

Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correctional Facility is seeking a full time FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR to work alongside our Food Service Manager 2. Below you will find the requirements for this position:

• Supervises all food preparation & service personnel (e.g., youth workers & cooks) assigned to one shift of institutional food service operation.
• Prepares related records & reports (e.g., cycle menus, costs, monthly report, work schedules, production schedule, food &/or supply orders).
• Maintains safety & sanitary conditions (e.g., monitors cold storage &/or ingredient products; inspects for hazards; checks refrigerator & freezer temperatures; secures food storage areas).
• Works alongside the Food Service Manager and cooks to assist in all areas of the kitchen including training, food preparation, dishwashing and all daily operations.
• Serves as the manager in the absence of the Food Service Manager 2.
