The University of Texas at Dallas seeks a Food Service Supervisor to manage the food service program, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing nutritious meals. Candidates should have a strong background in food service management and experience in supervising staff. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and values an inclusive work environment.
The Food Service Supervisor will direct and manage the food service program that fulfills federal, local and state regulations, provides nutritious, high-quality meals to all customer groups, and cooperates with the staff in special meals and catering needs.
Minimum Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; – Two (2) years school district food service experience; – One (1) year successful experience in school food service management; – Food handler certification; – Demonstrated knowledge of food services rules and regulations to meet federal, state and local guidelines; – Ability to operate and maintain institutional equipment; – Knowledge in budget development and financial management; – Knowledge of personnel management skills and leadership; and – Expertise in USDA and TDA regulations and rules regarding school meals.
