Job description

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediatley hire to fill the role of Part-time Cafeteria Supervisor. This position will work 5-days per week Monday - Friday day-shift, 8:30am - 2:30pm, no weekends or holidays with summers off.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee front and back-end production including preparation of food for daily lunch service
• Follow opening and closing procedures for the POS system and handling cash drawers
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly paperwork and supply orders
• Manage team of part-time staff and parent volunteers
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including but not limited to food and physical safety programs
• Communicate any issues of concern to management (i.e. customer issues, cleanliness, safety concerns or security concerns)
• Follow all safety requirements at accounts
• Hold or obtain Serv-Safe food handler certification
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
• Perform any other duties as specified by management

• Previous culinary/foodservice experience required
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Successful team leadership experience
• Moving, bending, stooping, lifting and standing on a frequent basis
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds frequently; lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary
