Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and food preparation inside a correctional facility. You will manage staff, ensure meals meet recipes and nutritional needs, and train others while reporting to the Food Service Director.

Must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and be available for some weekends/holidays; prior institutional food service experience is preferred. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

About This Position

*Must be available for some weekends and holidays*

Week 1: 4:30am to 1pm

Week 2: 7am to 3:30pm

Week 3: 9am to 6pm

Work every 3rd weekend 4:30am - 5:30pm

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
