Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and the kitchen team inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve meals following menus and use kitchen equipment to meet nutritional requirements.

You will report to the Food Service Director and ensure safe, compliant operations in a demanding environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are 18+, and bring experience in institutional food service or restaurants.

Qualifications

• Preferred institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Understanding of food handling regulations and safety.

Responsibilities

About This Position

***must have open availability to work: 7:30am - 3:30pm (this includes some weekends and Holidays)***

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
