Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a jail/correctional facility in Clarksville, TN. You will supervise food preparation and service, ensuring meals meet menus and nutrition requirements, while reporting to the Food Service Director.

Requires open availability 9:00am–5:30pm with some weekends/holidays; prior institutional food service experience preferred and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in institutional food service or restaurant preferred.
• Able to stand, lift, bend, and work in a correctional facility environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during shifts.
• Prepare and serve meals according to menus and procedures.
• Use kitchen equipment to cook and portion meals.
• Train other food service workers.
• Maintain a healthy, safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for long periods and perform lifting/bending as required.

About This Position

Must have open availability to work between the hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm (some weekends and Holidays required)

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
