Job summary

This position is located in the Nutrition and Food Service, Hot Springs, S.D. VA Medical Center. Wage Grade 3 Food Service Workers perform tasks with several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations.

They follow set procedures in accomplishing repetitive assignments and follow an established sequence of work, with physical demands such as standing and lifting up to 40 pounds in a hot kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Evidence of training or experience sufficient to perform the duties must be shown on your resume and will be evaluated per the OPM Federal Wage System standards.
• The screen-out element is used to determine minimal qualifications; applicants meeting the element proceed to further rating.
• Note: a full year of work is 35-40 hours per week; part-time experience is credited proportionally.
