Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring for an Assistant Food Service Director to oversee a large jail/correctional food service operation on-site. You will supervise food service workers, ensure adherence to menus and safety standards, and report to a Food Service Director.

The role emphasizes team collaboration, ongoing training, and a commitment to service excellence in a correctional setting. On-site position with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for planned menu schedule.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications and safety guidelines.
• Ensure sanitary environment following health codes and regulations.
• Oversee state or other inspections of food service operation.
• Perform other duties as needed.
