Job summary

ShopRite Village Supermarkets, Inc. in Springfield, NJ is seeking a Food Service Manager to direct and supervise all functions of the Food Service Department, drive sales, profit, and customer satisfaction under the guidance of the General Store Manager.

The position requires the ability to lead associates, ensure safety and compliance, maintain records, train staff, and deliver friendly, efficient service to customers in a fast-paced retail environment. Salary range is $15.92–$18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a full shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work with varied products.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Ability to lead associates to department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Food Service Department and its associates.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance in the department.
• Maintain temperature logs and production sheets.
• Train and develop department Associates and provide feedback.
• Maintain stocked displays and accurate pricing.
• Deliver excellent customer service and teamwork.
