Job summary

O2 Employment Services is seeking a Food Service Manager in Redding, CA to lead a high-volume kitchen operation for a local non-profit. You will supervise staff and volunteers, plan menus, manage inventory, and ensure safety compliance while delivering quality meals for a large community.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of food service leadership, Serve-Safe certification, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of food service industry experience.
• Culinary Arts education and/or experience as a Lead Cook, Executive Chef, or similar role in a large-volume facility required.
• Experience preparing or overseeing approximately 500 meals per day.
• Serve-Safe certification required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience supervising and training employees or volunteers.
• Ability to plan menus, purchase ingredients, manage inventory, and minimize food waste.
• Experience coordinating large-scale meals, banquets, or special events.

O2 Employment Services is working with a local non-profit to find their next Food Service Manager in Redding, CA. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced food service professional who enjoys leading a team, managing high-volume kitchen operations, and creating quality meals for a large community. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial kitchen leadership experience, excellent organizational skills, and be comfortable overseeing staff, volunteers, food preparation, inventory, scheduling, and kitchen compliance.

• $23-$25 per hour, depending on experience

• Located in Redding, CA

Food Service Manager Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of food service industry experience
