Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. in Rio Grande, NJ, is seeking a Food Service Manager to oversee the school dining program. The position runs Monday through Friday with a day shift, 6.5 to 7 hours, and summers off.

ServSafe certification is a plus, and you must be able to obtain the necessary documentation to work in schools. You will manage daily operations, cook and portion foods per NSLP, handle ordering and inventory, assist in promotions, and supervise cash handling and records.

Job description

Food Service Manager needed for school food service in the Rio Grande, NJ area. Monday through Friday, day shift, 6.5 to 7 hours daily. No weekends or holidays. Summers off.

ServSafe® Certification a plus. Must be comfortable working in a fast pace team environment. Able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools

Duties to Include:

Managing the operation on a daily basis.

Cooking - Food preparation, cooking a variety of foods, following recipes, portion control, production standards according to the NSLP guidelines.

Ordering - Placing orders, inventory, assist in marketing promotions.

POS/Register - Assist workers with cash collection, follow recording keeping procedures.

Safety - Endure all personal protection equipment is in use at all times

Cleanliness - maintain a clean and safe kitchen at all times.

Staffing - secure food service workers, and substitutes.
