Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist with preparation, portioning, and serving in a correctional facility. You will learn on the job with guidance from your manager and support a positive team environment.

Responsibilities include leading food prep, setting up stations, cooking per recipes, maintaining portions and temperature logs, and assisting with safety and sanitation while delivering friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

• Customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Serve Safe certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead food preparation and portioning for the day.
• Set up and break down stations as directed by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes.
• Ensure accurate portions for serving.
• Maintain daily temperature logs.
• Take samples of all food items before serving.
• Alert management to quality issues.
• Complete opening and closing station checklists.
• Greet customers and handle feedback with a positive attitude.
• Maintain a clean workstation and sanitize utensils.
• Transport supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assist with safety observations and report hazards.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Contribute to concessions, catering, and events when required.
