Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is hiring for Food Service Hosts to support patient services. Positions include full time, flex full time, part time, and casual roles requiring availability to work holidays and weekends 5:00am–8:30pm.

Employees must meet COVID vaccination requirements and follow infection control and food safety standards (HACCP) while delivering meals and services to patients and guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or 1 year of related experience).
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts (5:00am–8:30pm).
• Compliance with vaccination requirements (COVID-19).

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department procedures for operation of all food service equipment.
• Follows hand hygiene and infection control procedures.
• Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus and patient requirements.
• Secures necessary food and service equipment and utensils for the area.
• Inventories and stocks bulk supplies.
• Maintains food safety and HACCP standards during service.
• Serves patient meals with correct patient identification using established scripts.
• Performs sanitation for assigned work area per procedures and health guidelines.

UPMC Presbyterian is looking to hire full time, flex full time, part time, and casual Food Service Hosts to support its patient services department. This position will work holidays and weekends. Candidates must be able to work between the hours of 5:00am to 8:30pm. Candidates must have open availability.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
• Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
• Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus and patient / guest specific requirements.
• Assures the necessary food and service equipment / utensils are secured for assigned area prior to meal service.
• Inventories and stocks bulk supplies, following established procedures and designated time frames.
• Maintains food safety and quality by applying HACCP principles throughout service.
• Patient Service Specific Responsibility: Serves patient meal tray using the designated department script, to include proper patient identification.
• Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of previous job experience required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED
