Job summary

TES Staffing, in collaboration with Monroe #1 BOCES, seeks a reliable and motivated Food Service Worker for Fairport, NY. This 10-month, full-time position follows the school calendar with a Monday–Friday schedule from about 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Starting rate is $17.00 per hour, with duties spanning food prep, service, kitchen operations, and cashier support. Duties include delivering to off-site facilities and assisting with vending as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food service practices.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced school food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items such as salads and sandwiches, including slicing and other basic preparation.
• Portion and prepare desserts, salads, fruits, and other items for service.
• Wash, trim, and prepare fresh vegetables.
• Set up serving lines and assist with meal service.
• Serve food to students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operate the dishwashing machine and wash pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
• Safely operate kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining areas.
• Provide cashier support as needed.
• Deliver food to off-site BOCES facilities as assigned.
• Assist with vending operations.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

TES Staffing, in collaboration with Monroe #1 BOCES, is seeking a reliable and motivated Food Service Worker to join the Food Service Department in Fairport, NY. This is a full-time, 10-month position that follows the school year calendar and offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.

Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month School Year

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 6:00 AM–1:00 PM (7 hours per day; start and end times may vary)

Starting Date: September 2026 through December 2026

Starting Rate: $17.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

The Food Service Worker will assist with daily food preparation, meal service, kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean and organized food service environment. Responsibilities include:
