Job summary

Wingate Living is seeking a Food Service Director in Rhode Island to oversee all dining services, both front and back of house, including menus, staffing, inventory, and budget control. The role focuses on delivering superior dining experiences for residents and guests.

The ideal candidate will have a Dining Manager's course, 2–4 years in food service with supervisory experience, and (preferred) ServSafe certification, along with knowledge of dietetic principles, sanitation, and English literacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of or attendance in an approved Dining Manager's course.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in food service; supervisory or management experience required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation, and food service operations required.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the food service program, front and back of house.
• Manage menus, staffing, inventory and budget control.
• Ensure food handling, storage, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Provide residents and guests with a superior dining experience.
• Be willing to cover at other facilities during emergencies; travel may be reimbursed.

Food Service Director

Job Purpose: The Director of Dining Services is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the food service program, including both the front and back of house. This includes management of menus, staffing, inventory, budget control, food handling, preparation, storage, safety, and sanitation to ensure that residents and guests are consistently offered a superior dining experience.

Position Requirements:

• Graduate of or attendance in an approved Dining Manager's course required.
