Job summary

Wingate Living in Cranston, RI, is seeking a Food Service Director to oversee all aspects of the dining program for residents and guests. You will manage menus, staffing, inventory, budgeting, food handling, and sanitation to ensure a superior dining experience.

The role requires 2–4 years of supervisory food service experience, a Dining Manager's course, and preferably ServSafe certification. Flexible hours and coverage at other facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of or attendance in an approved Dining Manager's course required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in food service required; supervisory or management experience required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation, and food service operations required.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and assist at another facility for coverage or during an emergency; travel will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• The Director of Dining Services is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the food service program, including both the front and back of house.
• This includes management of menus, staffing, inventory, budget control, food handling, preparation, storage, safety, and sanitation to ensure that residents and guests are consistently offered a superior dining experience.
