Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to shoppers.
• Takes orders from customers by phone or in person.
• Answer questions and assist with product selections.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily.
• Slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for quality.
• Assist in technical areas as needed (setup/cleanup).
• Use suggestive selling to meet customer needs and drive sales.
• Clean and sanitize display cases; maintain equipment.
• Comply with H-E-B food safety and store procedures.
• Record production and assist with production planning in Bakery.
• Assist in Bakery and Deli technical tasks as needed; manage perishables.
• Take care of service counter customers in Deli; use ordering systems.
• Operate Fresh Production Planner and perform inventory processes.
• Prepare catering orders for customer pickup when applicable.
• Prepare and portion prepared foods; provide preparation/reheating guidance.
