Meriwether Godsey is seeking part-time Cafeteria/Food Services Workers at Sweet Briar College, Amherst, VA. The role includes greeting customers, operating registers, stocking, and assisting in food preparation and service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related food service experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills.
• Flexibility to switch between locations and duties.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Operate registers, scanners, scales, and card terminals efficiently.
• Transport food and supplies to the cafeteria area and assist in setup, service, and breakdown.
• Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and cold foods and ensure proper storage.
• Keep cafeteria and kitchen areas neat and organized.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas following schedules.
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Part-time Cafeteria/Food Services Workers at Sweet Briar College, located in Amherst, VA.

• Must be able to work Part-time evenings and weekends.
• Pay rate: $14 per hour

What You Will Do

• Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
• Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner
• Transport food and supplies to cafeteria area: assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the cafeteria, food serving, and beverage areas.
• Serves and replenishes food from food counters and steam tables.
• Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Keep cafeteria areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized
• Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments
• Inspects workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
