Job summary

Food City in Sevierville, TN is seeking a Food Service Associate to support store operations and deliver friendly, efficient customer service. You will assist in food prep, grill orders, and product stocking, while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across the Food Service area.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with or without prior food service experience, able to follow instructions, and committed to showing up on time for scheduled shifts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to Run the Best Store in Town.
• Maintain a positive attitude and foster friendliness and teamwork.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service in a friendly environment.
• Prepare all food for the Food Service department per manual guidelines when applicable.
• Prepare and produce quality food and products meeting customer and company expectations.
• Prepare grill orders and use fryer per manual guidelines.
• Slice meats and cheeses and rotate products in coolers and freezers.
• Keep workstation neat, clean, and compliant with safety standards; assist in ordering and stocking.
• Ensure proper packaging, weights, and ingredient labeling to meet local weights and measures regulations.
