Food City is seeking a Food Service Associate to contribute to a friendly, fast-paced store environment in Cookeville. You will greet customers, assist with food preparation, and ensure quality products meet company standards.

The role involves cross-training across diverse areas, maintaining clean workspaces, and supporting daily operations with a positive attitude. On-site shifts and a friendly team await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, courteous customer service to support Food City mission.
• Assist in food preparation for the Food Service department as needed.
• Prepare grill orders and slice meats/cheeses.
• Maintain cleanliness and rotate products, monitor dates, and restock as required.
• Cross-train in multiple areas with varying responsibilities to support daily operations.
