Description:
Are you patient-centered and thrive on providing top-notch customer service? Consider joining our team as a Food Service Associate. You will set up, prepare, and assemble meals and trays for patient service. Prepare nourishments, infant and pediatric formulas, and tube feedings as needed. Check inventory and stock galleys in patient care areas. Provide timely, wholesome, and high-quality food and customer service to meet the needs of our patients. Practice safe food handling and quality control.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Completing required cleaning of work areas.
- Inventory management and stocking galley supplies utilizing par level lists.
- Maintaining a clean and organized galley.
- Taking temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and food; properly documenting and taking appropriate actions when temperatures are out of range.
- Inspecting food items for integrity, rotating stock, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Delivering nourishments, formula, and tube feedings to patients and/or galley.
- Pushing food carts, racks, and dish bins.
- Cleaning and deep cleaning equipment, refrigerators, cupboards, and tables as required by accrediting and regulatory agencies.
- Determining food counts, preparing, and pre-portions food items for patient tray assembly.
- Weighing and measuring menu items for special diets.
- Preparing hot and cold food using standardized recipes for patient menus.
- Breaking down leftover items.
- Preparing bulk nourishments and swallow evaluation kits.
