Job summary

Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital in Ste. Genevieve, MO is seeking a Food & Nutrition Associate to join our full-time team. You will perform entry-level duties, assist with food prep, serve patients, and support cafeteria and catering services.

In this role you’ll stock areas, follow safety procedures, and work with a team to deliver excellent service. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are preferred, with Food Handler certification eligibility after hire.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent preferred.
• Commercial food service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required for education.
• Ability to obtain Food Handler certificate after hired is required.

Responsibilities

• Entry-level duties including washing dishes, pots and pans, cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Food prep, serving, and delivery for patients, cafeteria and catering; run cash register.
• Stock kitchen, cafeteria and patient areas; rotate deliveries using FIFO.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote teamwork with strong communication.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Learn and follow policies and procedures to meet department standards.
• Practice safe food handling.
• Perform heavy physical work throughout shift.
