Job summary

Maplefields & R.L. Vallee in Vermont is seeking a customer-service oriented food service worker to greet customers, set up stations, prepare hot and cold items, and ensure food safety guidelines are followed.

Shifts vary by location, with schedules discussed with the manager. You will maintain cleanliness, take orders, serve customers, and assist with deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they approach the department.
• Set up food service, prep stations, and equipment for business day.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold food items.
• Check food temperatures before serving following all food safety guidelines.
• Take orders and serve food items to customers following customers specific requests.
• Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment.
• Collect and place garbage/compost in designated containers.
• May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management immediately.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting loads away in an orderly manner.
• Other duties may be assigned by management.
