Job summary

Maplefields & R.L. Vallee in Vermont is hiring for a customer-focused food service team member. You will greet customers, set up stations, prepare hot and cold items, and ensure all utensils, napkins, and condiments are ready for service.

You will check temperatures, maintain cold cases, take orders, serve items, and keep work areas clean. The role may involve training teammates, handling deliveries, and reporting equipment or safety issues to management.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they approach the department.
• Set up food service, kitchen, prep stations, and equipment for business day.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold food items.
• Check food temperatures before serving following all food safety guidelines.
• Check Cold case temperatures frequently.
• Visually inspect all products for quality or out of date labels and remove from selling floor as needed.
• Take orders and serve food items to customers following customers specific requests.
• Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, pots, pans, service ware, utensils, and equipment.
• Collect and place garbage/compost in designated containers.
• May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management immediately.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and putting loads away in an orderly manner.
• Other duties may be assigned by management.
