Responsibilities

Food Service Associates are responsible for creating a pleasant, quality meal experience for patients. Prepare and deliver meal trays according to diet orders.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

1. Handle and prepare food in accordance with food safety regulations.
2. Communicate with nursing and cooks to provide accurate & quality meal service to patients & residents.
3. Perform limited food preparation for café and patients, including therapeutic diets.
4. Answer department phone calls and respond to requests.
5. Operate the cash register and dish machine.
6. Assist with putting away freight & stocking of food in kitchenettes.
7. Maintain cleanliness & sanitary standards.
8. Participate in department communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
