Responsibilities

Food Service Associates are responsible for creating a pleasant, high-quality meal experience for patients. They prepare and deliver meal trays to patients according to diet orders.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

1. Handle and prepare food in accordance with food safety regulations.
2. Communicate with nursing staff and cooks to ensure accurate and quality meal service to patients and residents.
3. Perform limited food preparation for the café and patients, including therapeutic diets.
4. Answer department phone calls and respond to requests.
5. Operate the cash register and dishwashing machine.
6. Assist with putting away freight and stocking food in kitchenettes.
7. Maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards.
8. Participate in department communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Pay Range
