Missouri Veterans Commission is hiring a Food Service Assistant to support the MO Veterans Home dining team in Cape Girardeau. The role entails assisting with meals, tray assembly, serving, and safe operation of kitchen equipment. You will help deliver meals within resident areas and maintain cleanliness of the dining spaces.

• Assist Veterans with meals, including selection, tray line assembly and serving.
• Prepare foods as assigned.
• Deliver and pick up food carts to/from resident areas.
• Clean dining area and equipment, sweep and mop floors, remove garbage.
• Operate dish machine and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Lift, carry and transfer heavy food containers, stock and rotate.

Hourly Pay:

• $16.99 - $17.09 day shift
• $18.99 - $19.09 evening shift

Examples of Work

• Assist the Veterans meals, which includes meal selection, tray line assembly, and serving
