Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Custodial Assistant who is Always on Mission to keep our Veterans in a safe and comfortable living environment. Cleanliness is a top priority for residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Typical hourly shifts include day and evening hours with pay ranges listed. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, stocking supplies, and coordinating with nursing staff to determine tasks. This role offers benefits and growth opportunities within MO Veterans Home.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of experience in custodial/cleaning roles.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the Home - dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, scrub, wax, and/or spot clean as assigned.
• Move furniture to adequately clean as needed.
• Climb ladders, stairs, or steps to reach objects while performing duties.
• Operate large and small power-driven machinery such as vacuum and buffers.
• Stock soap, towel, and toiletry dispensers to maintain supplies.

Hourly Pay

• $16.99 - $17.09 day shift
• $18.99 - $19.09 evening shift

Examples of Work

• Clean and sanitize all areas of the Home - dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, scrub, wax, and/or spot clean as assigned
• Move furniture to adequately clean
• Climb ladders, stairwells, or steps to reach objects
• Operate large and small power-driven machinery such as vacuum, buffer, or similar equipment
• Use sanitizing agents and disinfectants in a safe and proper manner
• Stock soap, towel and toiletry dispensers
• Work closely with nursing department to determine tasks
