Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Commission is hiring a Food Service Assistant to support meal service for Veterans. You will assist with meal selection, tray line assembly, serving, and delivering meals in a care-focused environment on site.

Qualified candidates may have 0–1 years of experience and must be reliable, with ability to work day or evening shifts. The role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits including vacation, holidays, health insurance, and retirement plans.

• Assist the Veterans meals, which includes meal selection, tray line assembly, and serving
• Prepare foods as assigned
• Deliver and pick up food carts to/from resident areas
• Clean the dining area – sweep and mop floors, equipment, remove garbage
• Operate dish machine and other kitchen equipment safely
• Lift, carry and transfer heavy food containers – load, stock, label, and rotate

Hourly Pay

• $16.99 - $17.09 day shift
• $18.99 - $19.09 evening shift
