HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is hiring a Food Service Assistant to support meal preparation, serving in cafeteria, patient trays, and kitchen upkeep. You will wash, prep, stock, and help maintain a clean, safe food service area following health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine duties related to preparation and serving of food.
• Prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
• Operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• Clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage.
• Assist with food stocking.
• Serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient rooms.
• Work in the dish room when needed.
• Work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
