Job summary

HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital is seeking a Nutrition Host/Hostess to provide nutrition and hospitality services to assigned patients, including gathering preferences and processing diet orders, ensuring high quality, efficient care.

You will document patient information in the computer system, prepare meal tickets and production sheets, resolve food-related issues, and communicate department needs to support patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand written and oral instructions.
• 6 months of related experience is required.
• Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition and hospitality service to assigned patients, including solicitation of preferences, processing and maintaining patient diet orders.
• Resolves any food and nutrition related issues.
• Complete tray passing and pick up for assigned patients daily.
• Receives and documents patient information in accordance with facility requirements in the computer system.
• Creates meal tickets, production sheets, and relays any additional information as needed throughout the department.
