Job summary

Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking a Food Service Assistant for full-time, on-site work. You will support dining room service, diet coordination, room service, and dishwashing, with involvement in catering and patient trays.

Responsibilities include coordinating menus in EPIC, assisting with patient trays, serving cafeteria customers, handling cash transactions, and maintaining cleanliness across cafeteria, dining room, and kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous work in food service preparation and dishwashing preferred.
• Good customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.

• Put away and rotates stock from food trucks as soon as they arrive.
• Stock/rotate cafeteria items, medical floor stocks and ensures overall cleanliness of cafeteria, dining room, and kitchen. Strip, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils to ensure cleanliness per department standards and regulations.
• Performs routine tasks using customer service skills, showing consideration of patients and other personnel in all service areas.
• All other duties assigned by your manager.
