Job summary

Clarksville Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Prep Cook to support patient meal service in a brand-new facility. You'll follow recipes, practice safe food handling, and work with the culinary team to prepare meals for patients, staff, and special events.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Prep Cook or Cook preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
• Food safety certifications as required by jurisdiction. (ServSafe)
• Work alongside Cooking staff to prep for daily meal service.

Responsibilities

• Take out the trash and ensure clean dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Deliver food to patient floors and restock items as needed.
• Clean appliances and machines; sweep and mop floors.
• Document dish machine temperature readings during each shift.

Clarksville Rehabilitation Hospital is a brand new startup with 40 private patient suites and set to take its first patient June 15th, 2026.

Position Summary

Assistswith preparation and service of food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients,employeesandspecial events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and inan attractive mannerin accordance withestablished standards. Maintains a clean and safe workingenvironmentin accordance withestablished standards. Other dutiesinclude:Taking out the trash, Ensuring the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware, delivering food to the patient floors,restockingitems,cleaningappliancesand machines. sweeping and mopping floors. Document temperature readings of thedish machineduring each shift.

Pay:Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience as aPrep Cook orCookpreferred, butnotrequired.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in detail.
• Food safety certifications as required byjurisdiction. (ServSafe)
• Work alongside Cooking staff toprepfor daily meal service.
