Job summary

CoxHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Partnership with Select Medical in Ozark, Missouri, is hiring a Food Service Aide for a fulltime position. You will prepare meals, operate kitchen equipment, and comply with safety and sanitation standards to support patient nutrition needs.

The role involves assisting patients with menu selections, updating diet changes in the patient diet management system, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and cafeteria operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
• Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising quality.
• Maintain compliance with sanitation, infection control and HACCP guidelines.
• Complete cleaning duties including trash, sweeping and mopping.
• Assist patients with menu selections, accommodating allergies, sensitivities, and religious or cultural preferences.
• Update diet changes in the patient management system and distribute reports and menus.
• Stock nourishment rooms and support kitchen stocking.
• Perform cafeteria duties including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.

Compensation: $16.00-$19.51 based on experience

• Update and validate diet changes in the patient diet management system, prints and distributes reports, tallies, menus and meal tickets.
• Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking
• Perform cafeteria duties as assigned including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Food Handlers Card

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling
• Healthcare/restaurant experience
