Job summary

Wingate Living in the United States is seeking a professional cook to work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver restaurant-style dining for residents.

The role requires a minimum of three years' experience in a food service kitchen, strong teamwork, attention to detail, and flexibility to cover at other communities during emergencies; ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as a Cook in a food service environment.
• Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Successful completion of ServSafe certification course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks meals according to established recipes and approved menus.
• Complies with quality and consistency of the food to include food temperatures, portion control, palatability and attractiveness of food.
• Perform defined work routines using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by supervisor.
• Required to assist in the cleaning of the kitchen equipment, food storage area, and supply areas according to the community schedule.
• Required to remove garbage from the kitchen and to clean trash containers.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.
• Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

Work closely with the Executive Chef / Director to provide residents with a high level of customer service while promoting a restaurant style dining experience.

Hours

Full Time including every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
