HEI Hotels & Resorts at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort in Boerne, TX is seeking a friendly, guest-focused Server to join our Food & Beverage team. You will welcome guests, present specials, take orders, and ensure timely, accurate service in a resort setting that blends Texas hospitality with family-friendly atmosphere.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attentiveness, and adherence to beverage and service standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Ability to recall, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to transport large trays up to 30 lbs in a crowded room.
• Ability to comply with state, federal, and corporate alcohol-service requirements.
• Maintain professional appearance and team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and promotions.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars.
• When complete, retrieve orders up to 30 lbs. from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, lift and deliver to guest with condiments.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve any dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
• Operate the Point of Sale procedures to pre-check order and close out the check.
• Present the check to guest promptly.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Overview

Provide guests exceptional service in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals.

• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
