Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Food Safety Manager to help administer all food safety and sanitation activities across assigned divisions, ensuring compliance with laws and corporate policies. You will help drive safe food handling, hygiene, and recall processes for multiple stores.

The role involves reviewing audit results, training staff, monitoring regulatory requirements, and coordinating with Legal and division management. Frequent travel to support stores is required.

Qualificações

• Degree in environmental health, food science, or related science or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in food handling, sanitation, or public health preferred.
• Prior fresh department management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with grocery retail is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Review food safety audit results with store personnel and assist in correcting deficiencies.
• Communicate inspection results to Legal Department and division management for follow-up.
• Provide emergency food safety training and support during potential food loss, regulatory visits, or emergencies.
• Monitor and assist stores to comply with local, state and federal food safety and health standards.
• Stay current with regulatory requirements and provide direction to stores for deficiencies.
• Review recall bulletins for health hazard classification and ensure response through division recalls.
• Prepare reports and participate in division staff meetings and training sessions.
