Job summary

Fresh Express Salads in Salinas, CA is seeking a Quality Process Owner to perform product quality and Food Safety performance tests to ensure compliance with our specifications. You will test on the line and in the lab, evaluate raw materials, conduct moisture, temperature, and microbiological analyses, calibrate equipment, and document findings per SOPs to support timely product release.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including percentages and conversions.
• Able to accurately use a calculator.
• Stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift 15 to 65 pounds and move boxes as needed.
• Work in a noisy, wet and cold environment (30–34°F).
• Flexible to any shift including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality and food safety tests on the line and in the lab.
• Evaluate raw materials and analyze moisture and temperature.
• Check bag/box codes, dates and other information for accuracy.
• Calibrate equipment and collect/analyze water samples.
• Perform PA/PH testing and microbiological analyses per specs.
• Document findings per SOPs and support QA activities.
• Assist with cross-training and provide team support as needed.
• Independently set up workstations to enable timely release.
