Job summary

Gordon Food Service invites an intern to join the Home Office for a 12-week paid program focused on Food Safety and Quality. You will collaborate with teams across North America and Canada, gaining hands-on experience in product review, supplier qualification, and safety projects.

You will engage in mentorship, networking opportunities, and development workshops, embedding with a team that emphasizes safety, compliance, and real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Food Safety, biology, environmental health and related fields.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• Product Review: assist in evaluating imported and commodity products to ensure they meet established food safety and quality standards.
• Specification Review and Approval: review and facilitate the approval process for product specifications.
• Supplier Qualification Document Review: examine documentation submitted by suppliers to verify adherence to food safety and quality protocols.
• Food Safety Related Project: contribute to a specific food safety project within the department.
