Job summary

Bunge invites qualified students to join our Quality & Food Safety internship program for a 12-week summer term. The role focuses on QA/QFS in an active manufacturing setting, offering hands-on experience in HACCP, lab methods, and food safety plans.

Interns will contribute to projects across multiple units and gain exposure to process validation and customer-safety initiatives. Location assignments will be determined by current business needs; relocation to a crush/refine, packaging, or grain

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree with interest in Quality & Food Safety as a career.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to analyze data to summarize and present in clear reports.
• Ability to execute tasks and follow-through with documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills.
• Team environment with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day objectives of the Quality & Food Safety department (70/20/10 governance).
• Assigned a project with the QFS organization.
• Validation of microbial sampling/testing techniques and procedures.
• Thermal inactivation validation studies.
• Development/review of laboratory and sampling SOPs.
• Customer complaint reduction using root cause analysis & CAPA.
• Analyze changes to processing conditions on finished product characteristics.
• Train Operations and Mechanics on quality impact and production parameter optimization.
• Validation of methods for oils and corn milling streams.
• Engage in internal audits and updates to Food Safety Plans.
• Engage with Bunge's QFS Management System.
