Job summary

Ferrero in Franklin Park, IL, seeks a Food Safety & Quality Product Specialist to ensure the safety and quality of all Ferrero products produced at the plant. The role covers inspection, data review in SAP-QM, allergen management, and CAPA processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or Food Chemistry; Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to perform in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in SAP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP, PCQI strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of GFSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the inspection of finished product output and guarantee products meet quality specifications.
• Examine quality reports and daily data in systems like SAP-QM; review monthly reports and request adjustments as needed.
• Support factory allergen management program and product traceability.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify non-conformities and CAPA.
• Train production personnel on quality checks.
• Record goods movements in SAP (stock for quality controls, blocked stock).
• Enforce company guidelines, GMPs and food safety practices.
• Manage assigned food safety and quality projects as needed.
• Perform internal auditing and analyze production data to verify compliance.
• Execute daily HACCP documentation reviews.
