Sara Lee Frozen Bakery, Llc in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Quality Control Full Time Technician to ensure products meet quality and food safety standards. On the floor, you will monitor HACCP, SQF, GMP and related programs, conduct audits, collect samples, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role emphasizes data collection and adherence to regulatory requirements. A trained designee may cover for absences; strong knowledge of micro testing and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate’s degree in microbiology, food science or related field preferred.
• In lieu of degree, two years of related experience in food manufacturing.
• Ability to complete micro testing of finished product, ingredients and environmental samples.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient knowledge of SQF and GMPs.

Responsabilités

• Monitor HACCP, SSOP, GMP and SQF programs on the floor.
• Audit products to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Collect samples for microbial monitoring and product analysis.
• Support data collection for SPC systems to reduce variation.
• Perform pre-operational and operational inspections of equipment.
• Document test results and maintain compliance records.
• Assist cross-training in other QA functions as needed.
• Identify and isolate non-conforming product.
• Participate in Safety and Lean teams as needed.
