Summary: This position is responsible forperforming physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately, taking corrective action when necessary and alerting appropriate personnel to adjust process, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming product and report results to management as well as any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year QA experience.
Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English or Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred).
Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds or more; required to work on concrete, potentially wet, slippery surfaces as well as in hot, dry, dusty, and cold environments. Personal protective equipment is required and provided by the plant: Gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, etc.
