Your Impact

The Experienced Travel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician in the PEARCE Renewables Energy Storage Systems (ESS) division performs tasks involving operations and maintenance (O&M) and physical labor at commercial and industrial solar energy projects located throughout the United States. This is a 100% travel role across the U.S., preferably based in Dallas, Texas.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Interact with vendors and customers professionally.
• Support site work, including supervising field work onsite with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Core Experience

• 2+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components.
• Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Physical/Work Environment

Candidates must comply with OSHA Standards. Residing in Dallas, TX, is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license for at least a year. This role involves rotating shifts and 100% travel, with physical demands including prolonged standing and working in various climates.

Compensation: $25.00-$40.00 hourly/DOE and Per Diem
