Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 months of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations in English.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and interpret basics.
• Reasoning ability: common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Organoleptic skills and self-motivation are important.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
• Adhere to GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure product quality.
• Follow USDA, FSIS, FDA, Customer and MFI guidelines.
• Collect in-process and finished product samples and perform tests per specs.
• Use SAP to access and print product specifications and instructions.
• Train production employees on food safety and quality requirements.
• Perform inspections of production areas and report deficiencies.
• Calibrate pH meters, thermometers, and scales; ensure accuracy.
• Maintain documentation of testing results and releases.
