Haliburton-International is seeking a QA Technician to assist the QA Lead in ensuring startup inspections are performed accurately and on time. The role involves monitoring production runs, enforcing GMPs, and conducting quality checks on raw materials, in-process ingredients, and finished products.

Responsibilities include supporting QA Receiving and Shipping, calibrating lab equipment, and reporting deviations to management while upholding GLP/GMP/SQF standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in Quality Control in a food manufacturing facility
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Chemistry preferred
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Access and e-mail
• Must read/write/communicate effectively in English, bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, GLP and GDP policies
• HACCP and PCQI certification preferred
• Able to perform basic math and follow instructions

Responsabilités

• Oversee line startup meets product specifications and parameters
• Assist in first level troubleshooting of inline detection systems
• Escalate issues with inline detectors promptly
• Serve as backup for QA technician absences
• Assist QA Receiving and QA Shipping when needed
• Ensure analytical lab adheres to GLP and GMP
• Report deviations to QA management
• Calibrate thermometers and scales in the lab
• Perform pre-operational inspections for line clearance
• Ensure all formulas exist and are followed on the floor
• Inspect raw materials for quality and spec adherence
• Maintain safety and PPE compliance
• Work flexible hours including weekends
