Job summary

F&S Fresh Foods is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance professional to verify food safety compliance across raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods in a chilled food manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with operations to enforce best practices, conduct audits, and maintain meticulous QA records using the PPRO app and standard lab procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college-level education or related degree preferred.
• Experience working in a chilled food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, USDA requirements, and food safety procedures.
• HACCP, Food Handler, or related food safety certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Produce Pro or similar software preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze data using spreadsheets, formulas, and statistical tools.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, make appropriate decisions, and remain professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document requirements to ensure food safety.
• Execute daily quality activities: assess incoming materials, in-process/product runs, quality, labeling, inspections, analysis, and testing of finished products.
• Maintain documentation supporting fresh food specifications.
• Conduct internal and external quality audits and document findings.
• Monitor temperature logs, sanitation, labeling checks, net weight, and package integrity.
• Collaborate with operations management to ensure food safety best practices.
• Use the PPRO app for receiving inspections and reporting.
• Calibrate test equipment and maintain calibration logs.
• Collect samples and prepare them for lab analysis.
• Maintain QA daily records and ensure compliance.
• Escalate issues to QA Supervisor/Manager as needed.
