Job summary

Cargill in Mount Joy, PA, is seeking a Food Safety Quality Technician to perform routine laboratory testing, monitor instrumentation, and document results to support our food safety and quality teams.

You will contribute to compliance programs, calibrate instruments, and collaborate across departments to strengthen our food safety culture. This role involves physical tasks and occasional complex issues, with relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Able and willing to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Able and willing to walk stairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in process and final products.
• Ensure compliance programs for all individual testing and adherence to regulations.
• Interpret and document results into databases and communicate results to internal customers.
• Run calibration checks and preventive maintenance on analytical instrumentation.
• Help develop food safety, quality and regulatory culture across functions.
• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
