Job summary

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services seeks an Environmental Consultant to plan and coordinate statewide food product sampling, environmental sampling, and field enforcement actions. The role investigates foodborne illness complaints, manages product recalls, and interprets laboratory results.

You will serve as a liaison during emergency operations and coordinate with state, federal, and FDA partners to ensure Florida's food safety compliance across the state.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food industry and food safety regulations.
• Experience with laboratory result interpretation and enforcement actions.
• Valid Class E driver license.
